Abstract

Some of the beginner athletes in UKM of court tennis in UPGRIS conduct swing on the forehand, striking slightly. Some when swinging with entirely straight arms, some are slightly bent. The study aims to investigate the differences between elbow extension and elbow flexion toward the accuracy level of forehand striking of court tennis. This research method uses a comparative design. The sample of this study is the tennis players of the students in PGRI University Semarang; the total is 7 people. The Hewitt Tennis Achievement Test is used for forehand striking instruments and dartfish software to determine the differences between the elbow movements and the analysis. An Independent t-test is used to find out the differences of the striking accuracy result. The results show the significant differences between elbow extension and elbow flexion with an average score of 22 and 63, with the significance value of a difference of 0.001. The conclusion is elbow flexion movement in the forwardswing step is better than elbow extension movement.

Determining the learning model in teaching and learning activities will help students succeed, especially in physical education lessons. A Teacher is demanded to choose the right learning model according to the needs field need suitable for a pupil's characteristic. This research aims to find out determine differences between the learning model of inquiry and direct instruction on learning outcomes of discus throw. The subject of the study is students of grade ninth in State Junior High School three Pekanbaru. The research method is an experiment in which each group is fifteen students in inquiry learning models and indirect instruction models. The in research was t, the instrument discus throw, which consists of holding the discus, approaching, throwing, and following through. The T-test is an analysis technique of the data in this study by presenting two different learning groups. The result of the use of products learning outcomes of discus throwing on students of grade ninth at state junior high school three Pekanbaru by implementing inquiry learning models and direct instruction in learning of discus throw. Abstract

This study investigates the differences in exercise teaching methods, commando teaching methods and motor skills on long jump skills. This research is conducted at SMP Negeri 17 Serang, Banten Province. The research design uses a 2 X 2 factorial. A random cluster technique is used in sampling. The number of samples taken is 40 students divided into four groups, each consisting of 10 students who are separated using the Verducci technique. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) in two ways is used in analyzing the data and continued with the Tukey test with a significance level of a = 0.05, with the results: (1) overall there is a difference in the effect between the training style teaching method and the command style on long jump skills, (2) students who have high motor educability, the exercise style teaching method is better than the command style teaching method for long jump skills, (3) there is no significant difference in students who have low motor ability to the command style teaching method with the exercise style teaching method learning outcomes long jump skills, (4) there is a positive interaction between teaching methods and motor skills for long jump skills. This research needs to be followed up in the future to provide input to teachers and researchers. If you want to measure the motor ability of long jump learning, you can use the training teaching method to get maximum results.

This study improves the passing skills on volleyball in volleyball learning on students of VII A grade in-state junior high school 1 Probolinggo using the target games approach. The research method uses Classroom Action Research. The implementation of this class action is by two cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and 4) reflection. The subjects of this study are students of VII A grade in State Junior High School 1 Probolinggo. The collecting techniques of the data use observation sheets, documentation, and tests. The results of the passing skills test on volleyball in the first cycle, the number of students amount 30 people, there are 29 students able to do the passing beginning movement on the volleyball correctly 90.25% with good category, 27 students can do the movements correctly in the subject position of 81.12 % with good category, and 28 students are able to make the final movement correctly 80.25% with a good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that learning of passing on volleyball through the target games approach can improve the passing skills on volleyball of students in State Junior High School Probolinggo. It is hoped that in the future, research can be found that develops target games with other types of games to overcome student learning difficulties.

Abstract

The study of athletes’ psychological characteristics in the education and students training center (PLPP) Bengkulu needs to be conducted as an effort to fix athletes’ training and achievement in PLPP Bengkulu. The purpose of this study was to determine the psychological difference between male and female athletes in the education and student training center (PPLP) of Bengkulu. Type of this research was quantitative with a comparative design. The subjects in this research were 26 athletes, namely 6 athletic athletes, 4 weight lifting athletes, 8 wrestling athletes, 4 karate athletes, and 4 boxing athletes. The data collection technique was conducted with the psychological skills inventory for sports that adopted from Mahoney, Gabriel & Perkins, (1987). Validity of the instrument is 0,21–0,35 and the reliability is 0,890. Data were analyzed using t-test with a significant level of 0.05. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that male athletes have a mean of 133.52 while female athletes have a mean value of 142.72 and significant value 0f 0,60>0.05. From results of this research, it was concluded that there were no difference in the psychological characteristics between male and female athletes in the education and students training center (PPLP) of Bengkulu. For the next researcher is expected to able using more samples and adding other research variables such as training of psychological skill and athletes personalities.

Abstract

The teacher-centered mindset and teaching methods are still teacher-centered, closing the space toward students to develop their creative thinking abilities. This study aims to determine the thinking skills of students in physical education learning using discovery learning models. This study used a quasi-experiment method and a pretest and posttest control group design. The research sample was obtained by means of random cluster sampling with a sample amount of 70 people. The instrument that used to measure students' creative thinking skills used the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking (TTCT) which before be tested, it has conducted the validity and reliability. The t test was used as the analysis of this study. Discovery learning model is proven to be able to develop students' creative thinking skills when learning physical education. This is proven by the sig value. 0,000 so the discovery learning model in physical education learning will be able to develop creative thinking on students. This learning model must be applied in various fields of education. Research on the same topic should be carried out in the future, with the variability of different educational levels of subjects or educational institutional settings.

Abstract

The problem raised is the absence of data on the implementation of resistance parachute-assisted training methods that can increase the short running speed of amateur football players. This study aims to determine the effect of parachute resistance assisted training methods on running speed. This type of research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental research method with the modified pre-test-post-test group design. The subjects of this study are 10 male amateur football players aged 18-20 years. The test instrument in this study is to measure the running speed using the 30 meters sprint test. Data are analyzed using t-test paired sample t-test at a significance level of 5%. The results of data analysis show that the parachute resistance assisted training method has an effect on running speed (sig value = 0.000). Thus, the parachute resistance assisted training method is suitable to be applied to increase the running speed of amateur football players. This research can be further developed by increasing the number of samples and applied to professional football players.
